Called Genitour/Elite Genitour in The Conquerors, in official Polish version (by Cenega) it's Jeździec/Elitarny Jeździec (ugly translation). Normally unhidden only in patched version of The Conquerors (1.0c), in unpatched don't available via editor (must be unlocked by Genie, or something). Genitour/Elite Genitour in final game is Militia unit with Cavarly Icon icon and Skirmisher (or Elite Skirmisher) missile. First i find this info in the Genie Wiki (, they have some information about Pre releases), after this i find information about Genitour=Jinete and see Jinetes from other games (Total War, etc), finally i added this info to the Jinete article. I added info about Genitour appearance in TC to Jinete article (from what i know that Genitour is other spelling of Jinete), and someone (thanks for him!) added this info to this article. As it says - in early stages of development it was planned as the Spanish UU it got replaced by the Conquistador at a later stage so it now stands as a unit only available in custom scenarios. It's in the sandbox/scenario editor but is not mentioned in any article or online guide so far. The avatar is of a horse archer and when the unit swings it's club to attack, a spear flys out. I recall in the sandbox mode, there is a militia unit that acts like a ranged horse archer. There's no reason to discuss every individual new technology.
"Unique to the Franks, and gives throwing axemen +1 range" could easily be replaced with "unique to the Franks, and improves the range of throwing axemen." Honestly even that might be too much information. I also want to say that the unique units and technology descriptions are too technical. It might be worth discussion, but at the least the section marked strategies is irrelevant. According to, if it's something that non-gamers will not be concerned about, it shouldn't be here.
